She was born in Miami, Florida on March 2, 1942. Her family moved to Mobile, Alabama shortly after her birth.
Dorothy was a 1960 graduate of Murphy High School and a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She retired from Scott Paper Company in 1986. After her retirement she took great joy in being with her family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother and father Grayson W Jones and Lucile M Jones. Two brothers: Grayson P Jones and Kenneth M Jones. One Sister: Jacqueline L Mullins (Joseph W Mullins)
She is survived by one sister, Cynthia Jones Yrabedra (L Kent Yrabedra) of Mobile and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 6040 Three Notch Road Mobile, AL 36619 on Monday March 27, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 with the service following at 11:00 in the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mobile Christian School 5900 Cottage Hill Road 36609
